Mieke Scheier was born in a small village between Osnabrueck and Oldenburg in 1986.
After studying cultural sciences in Freiburg and Strasbourg, she moved to Hamburg to study Illustration at the HAW. At weekends she enjoys visiting flea markets and looking for curiosities. This may be why she likes puzzle pictures so much. For her first book “It doesn’t fit” she found a huge amount of inspiration in this way!
Mieke lives and works as a self-employed illustrator in Hamburg.
