Leonora Leitl, was born in 1974 and lives, together with her family, in a small village in Austria, Mühlviertel.
After completing her degree work in 2-dimensional and communication design in Linz, Leitl turned her attentions to illustrating and writing books for children. She has been the recipient of a number of awards including the Mira-Lobe-grant and the Austrian Children’s and Young People’s Book Prize.
