Anne Thomas was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1988. However, after successfully escaping to West Germany in 1989, she grew up in Flensburg. After finishing her Master’s in Literary Translation in Düsseldorf, she moved to Paris in 2013, where she lives and works as a freelance translator, with occasional stints in London and Berlin. She mainly translates texts in the field of culture, performs regularly with her drama group and especially enjoys translating literature.To compensate for the long and lonely hours at her desk, she sometimes works as an interpreter at readings and conferences or organizes translation workshops for children in schools.
