How did we make this book?
“We both did everything,” you say.
“Text and images”, I say. „Playing ping-pong between Vienna and Berlin.“
„The images come about because we walk the path,“ you explain.
„It’s like you start walking without knowing where you’re going,“ I add.
„Everything in black!“ I say. „Thick brush strokes of ink.“
„And rough strokes of crayon!“ you add.
„Experimenting with oil!“ I enthuse.
„Frottages for background structures!“ you call out, thrilled.
„And finally, computer work!“ I say. „Scanning thigs, moving them around, arranging and rearranging them, and allocating spot colors.”
“Which is why the black pictures came out so nice and colorful in the end”, you conclude sounding happy.
