Michael Stavaric is an award-winning author, translator, and professor. Born 1972 in Brno, he lives in Vienna.
His prestigious awards are the Chamisso Prize, given to non-native authors writing in the German language, and the Austrian State Prize for Children’s and Youth Literature. He has taught creative writing, most recently at Salzburg university. His books have appeared in major German publishing houses.
