Martina Walther is a Swiss illustrator born in 1983. She divides her time between Lucerne and a small village in the Emmental valley. She studied Illustration Fiction at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Alberta’s Shop of Dreams is her third children’s book and the first she has written herself. Things she loves about her work are her permanently cluttered long desk, drawing, doing collage and pottery, and sticking storybooks together. During her breaks she likes to explore flea markets or take a dip in Lake Lucerne.
