Kilian Leypold was born in Nuremberg in 1968 and studied Philosophy, Slavic Studies and East European History in Erlangen.
He is the author of poems, mini-dramas and stories for which he has received various awards and scholarships. Leypold has a grown-up son and a little daughter.
Since 2000 he has lived in Munich as a freelance author and journalist.
