Born in 1974, Julia Neuhaus studied illustration at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Since graduating she has worked as a freelance illustrator, mainly on picture books. She has two daughters and lives in Hamburg with author and animator Till Penzek. Together they design storybooks, animations and apps for children. She also teaches at various universities and further education institutes.
