Anne Boulanger was born in Brittany and studied art and literature in France and Belgium.
The focus of her work is on writing and languages. Her preferred media are books, drawings and graphic art, as well as collective projects. She likes to play with sense and nonsense, crossing borderlines, searching for ambiguity, always collecting and experimenting. She points at the common and the uncommon of language. Living in Rennes, she takes part in exhibitions and work stays in other cities.
She is a member of the artist collective L’Atelier du Bourg and Marché Noir, and she mainly works with the publishers Zoom éditions and Tripode.
