Heinz Janisch, born in Güssing in 1960, is an Austrian author and journalist. He was a long-time employee of the public Austrian broadcaster Österreichischer Runkdfunk (ORF).
Among his numerous publications are several children’s books, which have been translated into more than 25 languages.
His heart belongs to picture books and poetry. He has been decorated with the Christine-Nöstlinger award and the Hans-Christian Andersen awards, among others.
