The lovely old-fashioned German custom of Kaffeetrinken, meaning indulging in a variety of home-made cakes on Sunday afternoons, inspired Sabine Kranz to this illustrated feast.

Collecting traditional family recipes, she came up with this delightful recipe book for classic cakes. Her illustrations, reminiscent of French collage and 50’s design, add to this sweet feel, for this book resembles a raspberry rain on a family’s gathering around a garden table – and it tastes good!
