What remains of a person who is longer with us?

What encounter with them will we remember most vividly? Where do we find comfort when our hearts grieve?

These are the questions Charlotte Müller explores in the stories she has written and collected, short, touching texts, drawings, and watercolors, while Verena Stegemann provides concise poetic counterpoints.

It quickly becomes clear that usually it is the small moments we experience together in life that are unspeakably precious.

Charlotte Müller:
»I almost always have an A5 sketchbook, a small box of watercolors containing a brush, and a fineliner with me. You will find me drawing in town, at home, or on the road, in between, and on the go, and yet, it always feels like a little break. I capture moments of daily life, a cup of coffee before a busy day, an uncleared breakfast table, the view from a window, sometimes I add a few words or sentences. This book contains sketches from the past few years and small watercolors accompanying the stories I have collected.«
