Liliane Steiner, born in 1966, passed the graphic class at the Swiss Design School Basel and the illustration class at the Lucerne University of Applied Science and Arts, where she created her first picture book.
She has illustrated numerous picture books and teaching materials since, receiving the award Most Beautiful German Books for Die Sprachstarken 3.
She currently teaches illustration and color at the Swiss Design School in Basel, where she lives with her family and a cat.
