Kerstin Marie Backes was born in Kaiserslauertn in 1989. She studied to be an art teacher in Heidelberg.
She now lives in Mannheim with her family. Apart from illustrations and collages for various music projects, she has also done illustrations for theater and literature magazines and designed postcards and shop windows. In addition to her artistic endeavors in the areas of illustration and collage, she also works as a teacher and art educator.
