Inga Krause is a freelance artist based in Bremen. These days, she mostly paints. Facades, walls, and canvases. She also translates her characters into the three-dimensional world using her very own ceramic furnace. For several years, Inga has been part of Cornelia Funke’s artist-in-residence project in Tuscany. PETRICHOR is her picture book debut and was nominated for the Hamburger Bilderbuchpreis award in 2019, and the Hans-Meid-Förderpreis award in 2022.
